I had the Soprano (Tony’s favorite) but I left out olives and spinach. No flavor. Yes…spicy. Would not recommend. Lasagna was very good. Blackened salmon fettuccine very good. If I were to compare here to Spago’s in Canada, I would say Spago’s is better but this comes in a close 2nd. I brought my out of town family here after Christmas and they all were so impressed with everything. Our server, Kate, was wonderful, kind and helpful with the menu. Of the seven guests 4 had the smoked pork chop and raved about it's great flavor. The others had the beet risotto with salmon, the short rib with butternut squash puree and a lightly dressed bacon spinnach salad,(so delish and tender) and finally, the last dish was the halibut with a sauce that was fantastic. We ordered 2 salads for the 7 of us which was perfect portions. This is my third time here and we are never disappointed. Oh yea, the coolest part was when we arrived early, we asked for a tour of the hotel. Our tour guide had a wealth of information to share with us. Great Detroit history lesson! Explaining what each one was and confirming that there was none of the allergy items I had mention. The food was delicious and I loved the small plates so that we could try everything. This was the busiest we’ve ever experienced. The management team was fully engaged and keeping things moving. Staff were cordial at the front desk. Warm and friendly servers and gauchos did a good job of keeping us well fed. We will make certain to spread the word to the community about Fogo.
