We had 3 children with us including a toddler and Lou was great with them…very patient and kind. We frequent this restaurant and have always had great service!! - MMicahelSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 2, 2024The food and the Charles was great. Two got the beef ribs and they were a very healthy portion and very tasty, as was the gravy on the mashed potatoes. Two got the scampi, it was very flavorful. The sliced zucchini with the pasta was a nice accompaniment. The side of bread was warmed/toasted and was the perfect combination of crunchy & chewy yet just soft enough. Service was good and attentive, but the server could have know more about the menu. The sound level was high and there was a sort of music bingo going on which while perhaps a local tradition seemed a little out of place in a finer restaurant on a weekend night. Cost was an excellent value for the quality of the food.More infoThe CharlesPrice: Expensive• American• Reading•4.4
- RreggimentalGreater Boston •17 reviews4.0Dined on Jul 1, 2024While we realize that this is a new venture after Covid, Chopps used to be much better. Gone are the servers who brought you coffee, tea and assorted beverages, making it a truly cafeteria style atmosphere. This may be what some people like but after the original Chopps, we were subjected to a less than stellar experience for brunch. The scrambled eggs were horrible. Coffee and tea are served in paper cups at a station. The omelet station was manned by one gentleman who was pleasant but really didn't know that you fold an omelet before presenting it. Fruits and waffles were good, as were the bacon, sausage and cereals. Hard to goof those things up. I don't believe we'll be going back to his version of Chopps unless we hear they have made some adjustments to their presentation.More infoChopps Italian Steakhouse & Bar at Boston Marriott BurlingtonPrice: Expensive• Italian• Burlington•4.1
