Best Historic Restaurants in Costa Mesa

We are all pleasantly surprised that the Beachcomber wasn’t just beach food.. The cocktails were yummly and the food was delicious. We had the ahi nachos, lobster rolls & artichoke as appetizers. Main dishes included cioppino, short rib, ahi over zucchini spaghetti and shrimp linguine. The best was their dessert.. The brownie that had a huge toasted marshmallow on top.. So good and the beignets we also tasty. Potions for all foods were healthy. We will return during the day to enjoy the scenery.. Hearing the waves were just as great and relaxing.

Waitress Nicole was very good. We were the first of the morning to be sat so ordering and food delivery was quick. The only reason I didn't give 5star for food was we both asked for eggs over EASY and they came Medium. We could've returned them but we didn't. It was still good.

Great service, great food. Fun atmosphere. Make sure you ask how long you have the table for and plan accordingly.

We ordered the short ribs as the main course, which we have never had Rothschild’s before. I was worried because short rib recipes are often too rich for me. But it was excellent, very flavorful but not rich. In retrospect, I should not have worried because Rothchild’s always does such a good job and whatever they touch. The garlic bread and Caesar salad were excellent as always.

Perla was amazing. Food was so delicious. I brought a party of 20 from my company and they were so impressed. Thank you for your service and good food and drinks. The night was special!
