- AAvaSouth Carolina •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWent on a date with my boyfriend. We were served on by 3 rotating servers who all did a wonderful job of making sure our needs were met and our drinks were full throughout the evening. We decided to let Donnie pick our dinner and drinks for us and loved the selections he chose! We started with the meatballs and the shrimp as appetizers, followed by two servings of bolognese with black snapper and brussel sprouts. Dessert was a lady finger chantilly cream cake with pomegranate molasses topped with pistachio for a nice crunch and nutty flavor. Everything was so good!!!! I highly recommend letting Donnie pick for you, he definitely knows the menu and his recommendations were spot on. Thank you for making our evening so special, we will definitely be coming back in the future!More infoMuse RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Downtown Charleston•4.5

Food service was quick and the preparation of all of our meals was perfection.More infoRappahannock Oyster Bar - CharlestonPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown Charleston•4.6

The smaller room got really cold, since people were leaving, so I asked if we can move to the big room, which had more people and was warmer. They looked into it and was able to grant the request. I was sad that the raviolis were sold out. We both had the lamb burgers. They were amazing! Would recommend!More infoChurch and Union - CharlestonPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.5

I got the crab stuffed flounder and it could have fed 2 people. Love the alley and all of the holy City restaurants but coast is our fav! - SBSarahBWest Palm Beach •6 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 11, 2024Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.6
