Amazing staff and service, the staff were incredible, food delicious, fed our dog too, lovely chat with all the staff, couldn't do enough for us. Complimentary oysters and a glass of prosecco, how fantastic, special shout out to the lady at the till with the auburn hair, sorry forgot her name, and Gordon, we were looked after so well, A BIG Thank you to you all. Great lunch! Food was excellent and service was superb. What a nice experience. I didn’t expect such a nice restaurant on the Royal Mile. We already booked another reservation during our stay. I would definitely recommend!

Our first full day in Edinburgh started with a tour of Edinburgh Castle and ended with dinner at Cafe Royal. Both were fabulous! Fish and chips, Balmoral chicken and amazing beef were all enjoyed by my party. Ending with the delightful sticky toffee pudding, the meal was perfect. Couple the amazing food with the warm and inviting surroundings, friendly service and holiday decor, we couldn’t have designed a more wonderful evening.
