Best Historic Restaurants in Koreatown

The best meal I've had in a long time. Service was excellent, wines were chosen very well, and of course the food was amazing. Highlights for me were the venison and wagyu. We were seated at the bar and I have to say the stools began to get a bit uncomfortable after a couple of hours. We were also seated under a speaker so it was hard to hear the service stash and somm describing the food and wine. Nice touch at the end taking us back to the kitchen. Very cool equipment and wine cellar. Minor gripes but all in all an amazing birthday experience. Will be back.

I had an amazing dining experience at El Catrin. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Mason, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of our meal was perfect. Thank you for the beer in house draft beer suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious – everything we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the Baha Taco– it was a standout! Overall, a wonderful place for a meal, whether it’s a special occasion or just a casual outing. I’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you for the great experience!

It was great having Chef Bennet come out and introduce us to a dish. U can feel that the tasting menu is coming from Chef Bennett's Root (South Africa). The menu was very earthy and exciting from dish to dish. The Juice pairing that was offered was great as well.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our birthdays with my best friends. The food was exquisite, Derek is an energetic and exceptional waiter, and Johnny, our bus boy, was attentive and efficient. Overall an amazing experience! Highly recommend Sassafraz for your special occasions!

I had the pleasure of dining at Joni Restaurant yesterday for a Christmas dinner with my son, and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, warm, and professional. The chef’s menu was outstanding, featuring creative dishes that were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and festive, but I couldn't help but feel that a touch of Christmas music—perhaps soft background tunes or even a live band or singer—would have elevated the holiday spirit even further. It was the only element missing from an otherwise perfect evening. Thank you to the entire team at Joni Restaurant for making our Christmas dinner special. We will definitely be back
