- SSheldonOrange County •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoHighly recommended. If you've never been here, it is one of the most beautiful restaurants in San Diego and doesn't need a view of the city or water. On top of that, the food is fantastic. We had the chef's cut (hanger) steak along with the beef short ribs and salmon. Both dishes were incredible. We finished the evening with the tres leches cake and coffee. Amazing! The only thing better than the food and ambiance was the service provided by Mehdi. He made spot on dinner and dessert recommendations for us. He was fantastic and truly an asset to the Prado. I will be back, even if it is just for dessert and/or cocktails. Oh, also dog friendly on the front patio, which tonight provided awesome music from the wedding nearby.More infoThe Prado at Balboa ParkPrice: Moderate• Californian• Downtown•4.6
- CChrisSan Diego •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis is one of our favorite spots in downtown San Diego. We always try to park and eat at the U.S. Grant before we take in a show at the Civic Theater. This was my first time enjoying the Grant Grill and it did not disappoint. I ordered light and had the soup (seafood chowder), caesar salad, and the pork appetizer. Every bite was delicious and went well with the 2 old fashions I had throughout the meal. My GF enjoyed her favorite, Hokkaido Scallops and they were very good. We alerted our server that we were attending the theater and he made sure we had our check in plenty of time to walk across the street and enjoy Back to the Future, the musical. BTW, the house bread and butter is AMAZING!More infoGrant GrillPrice: Expensive• Californian• Downtown•4.7
