This 17th Century building sits above a shallow slope to the Thames and enjoys both a sunny veranda balcony and a pretty paved garden right on the riverside.Apart from one or two extensions over the years the pub building remains relatively untouched, giving it a traditional pub feel.Festooned with flowers and plants outside in summer and warmed with log fires in the winter it’s been a very special local in Twickenham for many years.

The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. Expect plenty of fresh seafood; oysters, langoustine and the signature seafood platters - alongside a comprehensive yet affordable wine list. As well as dining inside the main "house", there are seats outside in the semi-open courtyard, and also in the prime spot of streetside on Fulham Road.
