A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). We traveled from St. Louis for a romantic dinner at One If By Land, Two If By Sea, and it truly exceeded our expectations! We opted for the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing, and every course was nothing short of phenomenal. Having experienced many fine dining tasting menus before, we can confidently say this was one of the best meals we've ever experienced — start to finish. Each dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavor, and the portions were impressively generous. Our server, Sasha, provided exceptional service, attending to our needs throughout the evening. The restaurant’s ambiance was perfectly romantic, creating the ideal setting for our special night. We wholeheartedly recommend One If By Land, Two If By Sea to anyone seeking an unforgettable evening out!

I was so excited to have a chance to dine at Emilys while I was in NY. I got the burger because Dax Shepard talks about it so often on his Armchair Expert podcast and it did not disappoint!! It was so delicious and the waffle fries were also crispy and seasoned perfectly! I’m already looking forward to my next visit so I can have it again. Oh and the cocktails were delicious as well! :)

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! Just wanted to grab a quick bite at such a historical place. Such a lovely experience with excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff. Between the four of us we tried several different menu items and everything we tried was above expectations!
