Best Historic Restaurants in Northfield

Food, service and view were all great! Calamari, filet and lamb chops were delicious. Seafood pasta dish was good too, but was more pasta than seafood. Our waitress Amira (I hope I got her name right) was excellent. Would return for a special occasion or more upscale dinner when I’m back in Atlantic City.

The Smithville Inn is an icon of Atlantic County! The best restaurant in Historic Smithville, you can wonder through the shops, watch the ducks and swans on the lake and finish the day with an excellent meal at the Inn. We went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The cocktails were excellent, the shrimp cocktail had the most delicious cocktail sauce, the corn chowder was thick and creamy, the french onion soup was very good, the steak and chicken limon were wonderful. Of course, their signature chicken pot pie was to die for! Our only, very slight disappointment was the crab cakes had a little too much filler and not enough crab. Our server was professional, friendly and attentive. The entire staff was excellent! Their rewards program is a big help, too! I definitely recommend!

Jerry Longo’s is my “go to” place for Veal Marsala. Theirs is the best I have ever had anywhere. The Veal is served over a Parmesan risotto with an awesome Marsala sauce with a generous helping of mushrooms. The risotto is a delicious change from pasta. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My server Jason was perfect and packed my leftovers with care. I can recommend Longo’s enthusiastically.

The restaurant was virtually empty. Our server, Jose, was very attentive, and the food was good. The facility could use an update, but we found that at many AC venues.
