Carmella’s Plates & Pints is the first restaurant for co-owners, Carmella Salem and Michael Alberter. Our kitchen creates upscale comfort cuisine.Our dining room has a warm and cozy feel due to the wood- beamed cathedral ceiling, open fireplace, taxidermy and stained glass windows that adorn the dining room. Our guests feel as though they are tucked away at some destination lodge that exists in the heart of the Historic Southside. Local meats are delivered daily with Wild Game plates on the menu such as our staple plates like the Bison Burger and Smoked Wild Boar Meatballs. Great New Year’s dinner experience! The special menu was fairly priced and the food was very good! We had some great cocktails too. I especially liked the key lime pie! The server was beyond excellent! He went above & beyond in making sure we enjoyed everything and took some amazing pictures of us on the staircase.

Great overall experience! Allergy concious. They are very allergy conscious and ask for any food allergies straight away. Normally someone with me is GF but they were not there to truly test that full experience. Next time they visit home with me we fully plan to come back to give it the full experience!

To be honest. It was the only place that I could get a reservation for six in at the last minute. They did accommodate us well. When I did arrive, the place does have an old musty smell. It was virtually empty with only a few tables seated on a Saturday night at 7 PM. The waiter that took our order was a tentative. Our chef was very good as well. Unfortunately, I left there, and I was still hungry after getting the imperial twin New York strip steaks. in a pinch again, I surely would go. But it would not be my first choice.
