- CClaireSan Francisco Bay Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIt was a lovely place for Christmas dinner. There were some larger groups, but it was mostly tables of two, three or four people, so it wasn’t at all noisy. The Inn was decorated beautifully and the staff was friendly and efficient. There was a special menu, which included vegetarian options. It was the perfect place for us and we appreciate that they were open on Christmas day.More infoRoger Sherman InnPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• New Canaan•4.6
- MMaryellenNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024Very welcoming , excellent service . Fun , delicious , strong drinks. The menu has a nice variety , if it's your cup of tea the bone marrow appetizer was excellent, as well as the blue crab nachos. We all had beef , and each cut was cooked to perfection with the sauce to the side . A really nice dinner celebrating a birthday , desserts were solid too , banana foster is memorable.More infoWashington PrimePrice: Expensive• American• South Norwalk•4.8
- JjaneNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 12, 2024We had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.More infoMacArthur's Restaurant at The Historic Thayer HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• West Point•3.8
