The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! Wondered whether Phakoon would be as good as the long-standing Thai restaurant that preceded it (Amaranth) but it may actually be better! Excellent food and lovely attentive staff. Good to see it was busy on the night we went - deservedly so.

Charming and efficient service. We ordered the set “Experience” menu to save time. It was all delicious but the crusted chicken was a little dry. The room we were in was very cold but staff responded to our complaint and heating improved. The restaurant is stunningly decorated from floor to ceiling! The music was very loud 70s disco, so great for a party meal, not for a romantic evening.

Awesome atmosphere, the decor was amazing, and really set the tone for the evening. The host staff were very polite and acommodating. Wait staff were very professional and courteous. Food was amazing!

Great spot and very smart. It has a varied menu. Only downside was that they didn’t have our first or second choices on the main menu so had to choose a lesser dish. They said they would add a side dish of roast potatoes as compensation though when the bill arrived this item was added. So a disappointment on that front.
