We had a very nice Greek salad and then the special Beef Wellington, which was the best piece of beef we have ever had, with a dressing to befit it. Well worth the price! Our server, Shayna, was terrific in her attentiveness, efficiency and promptness. What set her apart was her wonderful personality and sharing of her own story. She definitely added to the enjoyment of the evening! Carl and Lee (as well as the rest of the staff) were amazing and helped to make a special night even more memorable. And of course the food was phenomonal as always! We have wonderful food at many places in Chicago, but Gibson's is special. The waitress was trying to rush us out the door. It seems like she didn’t like that we were Mexican and there were only three of us to serve. The Fig Carré is my favorite. For starters the Potted Carrots and Shaved Butternut First timers & Squash were delicious! Of the pastas our favorite ended up being Stuffed Farfalle with Pappardelle coming in 2nd. The rainbow trout was excellent & light. We so enjoyed every taste! The butter cake was THE BOMB.
