Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Lake Villa

Used to be my all time favorite restaurant. When we first started going to Wildfire, my horseradish crusted fillet was $36. It’s now $58. I’m sure it was at least 20 years ago, but that is one outrageous increase in price. It prevents us from going to the restaurant more often than we do. Now if we go once a year, it’s just a special treat. We used to go a lot more often. However, times, Covid, etc. are all reasons we can’t go more often anymore. I do believe the prices are totally outrageous. So sad.

Wildfire is always excellent, which is why I go there so often! The food is delicious, the cocktails are great, the service is perfect, and it’s always comfortable! It’s my favorite restaurant and the bonus at the Glenview restaurant is the parking lot!! It’s just perfect in every way!

Overall, the best restaurant I’ve been to since moving to Chicago. The appetizers were phenomenal, the main courses felt a little short, but still we’re good . And I did notice that they forgot to give us our onion soup and sparkling water we ordered 

It was our 56th anniversary. My husband loved the Beef Wellington he ordered. I loved the salmon, mixed vegetable's and bread I ordered. We shared the vanilla bean creme brulee dessert which was delicious. Every employee we encountered was friendly and efficient. They made us feel special. Our server, Allahhundra (sp?) was helpful, considerate and friendly.

My gawd we ordered so many things from the menu. The buffalo mozzarella, fired calamari, bruschetta special and mussels were outstanding. Entrees were phenomenal and portioned generously. We had to sit at a high top at the bar and waited 20 minutes after our reservation time, but they were so apologetic and kind! I can hardly wait to return!!
