Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Sparks

We had an absolutely incredible Christmas/anniversary dinner! The table was strewn with fresh rose petals to celebrate. The staff was attentive and professional. Angel kept our water glasses filled, brought us fresh, hot bread, and an appetizer boat, gratis. Turns out our waitress was married at exactly the same place we were, a year later. We had wonderful memories of being married at Tahoe, 40 years ago. My husband had surf and turf and the fillet was cooked perfectly, we got the Oscar topping for it, which was more crab than I've ever been served anywhere else, ever. The lobster tail with it was succulent, and so big we shared it! He got the gigantic twice baked potato and I got the au gratin potatoes, which were a work of art. I had the top sirloin and it was huge. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal and begged off dessert, but were presented with two candles on a beautiful plate, with wish to blow out an anniversary wish together. The prices were half what they would be anywhere else, their servings were double and the quality was comparable, if not better. We are going there for every celebration from now on. And bonus, it's in a casino, so we could have fun before and after! Thank you to all for such a special evening.

A party of four enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Dinner 2024. We were greeted with a smile, taken to our table and immediately had menus, water, and drinks. The server was amazing. She took care of our every need. She checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed and it was a busy night. The busser was always there picking up dishes and glasses as we finished. The food was excellent, service marvelous and the ambience was great! Great place to dine and we will be back soon.

This was our 14th year coming to Lastrada on Christmas Eve. It has become a family tradition. As always, you did not disappoint. “Tucci” was welcoming and so energetic upon our arrival. What a great front person to have! And our server, Lia was fantastic. The food was amazing, the ambience was great. Love sitting in the back by the wine rack. Truly makes the whole experience! Thank you all for working so hard every single time we are there, and I’m sure every time we are not there. Definitely a Reno gem!! See you soon. 

It was Christmas Eve, and the place was packed, so my expectations weren’t high. On top of that, we were about 45 minutes early due to an unexpectedly brief church service. Teresa, the manager, went out of her way to seat us despite our designated table being occupied. Service got off to a slow start due to the rush, but Sarah picked up the ball and service was great. Food, as always was outstanding - steak frites was a preparation I’d not had before, and my wife’s salmon and my daughter’s ono were both excellent. Overall, a great experience.

Everything was very good. The only thing was the tomahawk pork chop was pretty fatty. Other than that, the soup was outstanding, the shrimp was outstanding, and the schnitzel was outstanding.
