Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in East Islip

Exceptional dinner. Our server not only knew their stuff but sold every item on the menu. A vast knowledge of the food severed. My drink was never empty. My stomach either. An absolute delight. I’ve never felt a better value for my buck. I wish I could recommend it more than I am now.

The Lake House was wonderful! The food and wine were delicious and everything arrived to the table in a timely manner, without the feeling of being rushed. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall an amazing experience!

We absolutely loved your afternoon tea. The sandwiches were delicious! My favorite was the beet and goat cheese. I am not a truffle lover, but I did enjoy the egg salad sandwich with a hint of truffles. It was not overdone, it was just right. I loved the scones, especially with the fig jam and clotted cream. I prefer savory over sweets at an afternoon tea. I find many places do far too many sweets. You had just enough to complement the sandwiches. If I may, I would like to suggest the addition of Darjeeling to your teas. They do call it the King of Teas, after all. It is very different from English Breakfast and Earl Grey, both of which are blended teas. I feel Darjeeling would really complement your lovely afternoon tea. One of my favorite spots! The food is always great. Loved the grilled octopus appetizer, one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had! The meatloaf is so delicious and the fried chicken sandwich is a must! Absolutely beautiful ambiance!

Began with great service! Very friendly and proficient. Food was delicious. A little cold inside from the weather coming through the door each time it was opened, but it didn’t prevent me from having an enjoyable evening. My boyfriend loved the rib eye and the scallops were delicious! Looking forward to going back.
