- GGillLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoHad a lovely time playing curling for the first time. The staff were lovely but the atmosphere was lacking somewhat. Only a couple of other people around. The outdoor fire pits were fab but unfortunately the speciality hot chocolate was very expensive as it was undrinkable with a n overpowering petrol type taste. The cranberry juice was great. Overall had a very enjoyable afternoonMore infoUpstairs at The GwenPrice: Expensive• American• River North (Chicago)•4

The ambience was a lot more casual than I expected. The modern music was loud and our seating was in a heavy foot traffic area and directly sandwiched between the hotel bar and the window. The curtains next to us were dirty with food and grease stains. The menu for High Tea was on the same page with their standard bar menu with daily specials, not a separate menu. The tea selection was limited to standard teas, and were allowed only one serving. Since we weren’t shown a sampling of the teas, it could be assumed that the teas were from commercial brands, not higher end. When the food tray was brought to our table, it was dropped off with no explanation of what was served.More infoThe Allis- Soho House ChicagoPrice: Moderate• American• West Loop•4.3
- HHarriettChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have high tea at the Palm Court every year between Christmas and New Year’s. It is our way of setting aside a special treat time for our family once the Christmas buying rush is over and The Palm Court does not disappoint. The choice of teas is broad and the scones warm. Each edible was well presented, fresh and tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Loved the harpist and singers in old world garb. And don’t miss the 50% off Christmas baubles in the downstairs gift shop. Our only quibbles were with the closeness of the tables and noise level. The room was packed, a tribute to its popularity. Best high tea in Chicago.More infoThe Palm CourtPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.6
