Spectacular food. We explored the museum first, and we thought our time in the restaurant afterwards might just be an unremarkable add-on to the amazing history of the place. But the food ITSELF is some of the best we’ve ever had in our 30 years of living in New York. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s what I expect to pay for food at this level of excellence. Truly delicious. Worth every penny. Cannot wait to go back. The Founding Fathers were there! It’s a thrill to read about everything that happened there and then sit down where George Washington himself had meals and drinks. You get to step back in time, feel a close connection to our incredible history, AND eat some of the best food of your life.

Fantastic late night dinner at Essex Bar! Yellowtail Crudo was beautiful and a refreshing start to a wonderful meal, and Duck Pasta was perfectly prepared. Desserts, especially the flourless chocolate cake were standouts. Wife had the bone-in strip steak, which was huge and flavorful. Nice selection value wines. Will be back.

The atmosphere, food and service were great. I have celiac disease and was very happy to learn that I can eat at this restaurant. Our server made me feel very comfortable and safe. He reassured me that my food would be prepared carefully with no cross contamination. All of the food was delicious. The arepas were so good! Thank you for making my birthday special. I will definitely be back very soon.

I booked one of parklife’s solariums for a birthday party and it was the perfect spot- warm enough, even on a very cold December night, and a private comfortable space with good service. Uniquely good for large groups!
