Our family was born in Oaxaca and migrated to the US in 1994. Ever since then, our goal has been to showcase not only our family recipes, but also the hard work and dedication that goes into each of them. Each year, we travel to Oaxaca, and hand pick our ingredients, and carefully select the people we partner with. Guelaguetza is a restaurant, boutique market, and advocates for Oaxacan culture located in the heart of Korea-town in Los Angeles. Our motivation behind our products is simple: uncompromising quality. The products found in our store have taken years of development, and we hope that when taking your first taste of our Mole, or your first sip of our Michelada, you are transported into what Oaxaca means to us...a true Guelaguetza.

VALET PARKING $20 per carHoused in a beautifully restored 1912 firehouse, Engine Co. No. 28 located 3 blocks from the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention center has been putting out appetite fires since 1989 with classic American dishes inspired by the regional cooking of firehouses across the country. The menu features a "signature" Meatloaf, crispy hand-breaded fried chicken, a burger to remember and a great assortment of handmade cocktails, a consistently updated wine list, and a great draft beer selection. The restaurant is reminiscent of the classic grills of San Francisco and New York - mahogany booths, granite bar, and original brass fire pole with eclectic old filament light bulbs to add to the motif.

Great ambience on rooftop deck. Inside and outside seating with views of Hollywood. Parking validation in building for 2 hours for $30. No deals with Pantages for parking. If you are going to theater advise your server and they make sure you get timely service. We had lemon pasta and short rib pasta- excellent and really large serving. Nice wine list. Cocktails in both alcoholic and dry versions

The atmosphere was energetic and vibrant, with live music adding a great touch to the evening. Our server was incredibly patient and accommodating, especially since we had a large party. Despite being very busy, they never once rushed us and let us enjoy our time there for several hours. The service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. You must try the red and black mole and the seafood soup! I highly recommend making reservations in advance, as it can get quite crowded. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a lively dining experience!
