Best Restaurants with Great Beer in South Street

We were about 10 minutes early for our reservation and waited for a table. There seemed to be a lot of people waiting for tables but it went quickly and the hostess was very nice. Our food came quickly, but we had to wait for our second round of drinks as the place became busier.

We had come into Philly to enjoy some holiday shopping and I thought Dandelion would be a nice, cozy spot for lunch on a cold December day. It was perfect! We were shown to a lovely corner booth upstairs where every table was full, but the noise level was a non-issue. Bella proved to be a knowledgeable and professional server and had good suggestions regarding beverages and menu selections. I enjoyed the salmon pate and my husband's burger was terrific. It was the typical Stephen Starr restaurant experience: creative, authentic decor; well-trained professional staff; and great food.

Loved everything about this place! Will be my go to place every time I’m in Philly now. I feel it is not as spacious but plenty of seating. It’s a very chill vibe in there. Happy hour lasted until 6pm on Friday night. My fave was the wagyu spring rolls with its sauce, had a hint of peanut butter in it. The kanarge (i know butchered the name) look like catfish bites but it’s chicken with the orange sauce it was so good. Came in a good size portion to share. Also ordered the east coast oysters for $2 each definitely worth it. Total was around $50 for two which is nice.

Never disappointed eating at Butcher Bar. The best is the Ribeye cheesesteak. Unfortunately, it is only a special -- please add to the daily menu.

Our table was ready for us at the reserved time. Excellent service, all of the food brought to our table was appealing in presentation, at the right temperature, and very tasty. The manager (owner?) was very interested in our satisfaction with our experience. This was my first visit, and I will definitely be back.
