- JJoeVIPChicago / Illinois •32 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoBeen coming here for 50+ years. Still a good burger. Onion rings still phenomenal after all these years. Great service and a nostalgic Ireland pub atmosphere. The consistency of the food has been an issue for the last several years. Some days it’s fantastic - hot, fresh, crispy and tasty - but other days it’s cold, soggy and bland. Get back the consistency and you’ll be 5 stars again for sure.More infoHackney's on LakePrice: Moderate• American• Glenview•4.4
- MMariaChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWe had eaten dinner at The Publican many times, but this was our first time having brunch. We shared sweet and savory dishes including the waffle, the shrimp and grits, and chicken schnitzel. All were delicious! A side of PBQ breakfast sausage was tasty, too. I highly recommend checking out this spot for brunch.More infoThe PublicanPrice: Expensive• American• West Loop•4.6
- SShirleyNew Mexico •4 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024Excellent food!!! We were expecting “pub food” but this was so much more. Skilled use of unexpected herbs and spices. This kitchen produced perfectly cooked proteins. The duck was the most flavorful duck I’ve had in a restaurant. The octopus was exactly the right texture. Pork shank and short ribs were fall-off-the-bone and seasoned creatively. Everything was flavorful and delicious. We appreciated the art of the serving dishes, not just plain white plates. Service was also excellent. We were greeted at the door and our table was immediately ready. Our server was attentive. Our food came out hot. Only real negative is the 3% charge to use a card. I don’t like carrying $250+ in cash. I wish this place was in our hometown. We look forward to returning to Cultivate.More infoCultivate by Forbidden RootPrice: Moderate• Brewery• Lincoln Square•4.7
