Best Live Music Restaurants in Yaletown

Food was impeccable. Service was extremely pleasant. Became one of my favourite restaurants to go to.

Went for the Valentine's Day menu. Had high expectations going in and the food and service exceeded our expectations. The food was sublime. My favourite dish was a Hokkaido scallop cooked perfectly with a beautiful sauce and sorbet and sweetness from julienned green apple with a dollop of caviar. Every bit was beautiful. Wanted to lick the plate it was so good. The next course was a soft egg with creamy polenta, black truffles, and a beautifully thin slide of crunchy sourdough that looked like a lace cover. Just beautiful and delicious. Then a steamed seabass which was cooked to perfection sitting in leche de tigre sauce with a salsa that gave it just the perfect amount of heat. The dish was served skin side up which made for a beautiful presentation. The last savoury course was an Australian wagyu zabuton cut. It was served with a beautifully roasted sunchoke and a wonderful bordelaise sauce. Great flavour with a little bit of chew if you like that. Then they served a sweet drink with a bit of a "spark" which was fun and then the dessert which was yummy but very rich and the only part of the meal which I felt could have been maybe lighter? The dessert was lovely but I could not finish it because it was so rich. Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Altogether an amazing meal. The service was excellent and everyone from entry to exit was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for making our Valentine's dinner such a memorable evening!

Everything was excellent except the noise level being seated in the wine room it was very noisy with so many sounds coming from all areas could not hear my husband who is not quiet when the server asked a question when I heard it I had to repeat a few times so husband could answer so not much conversation could be had. Which is why ambiance got a low mark. And of course I had to have dessert so we got it to go to enjoy back at hotel where it’s a little quieter. Thank you for a wonderful dinner though and a excellent server!

As well as the excellent service and cuisine, I particularly enjoy the ambiance in the restaurant at night when it is dark outside. The dining room lighting is kept dim and the individual table lights give just enough warm indirect task lighting to the table top. So you can have a cozy dim ambiance for the room and are able to read the menu and see the meal. Ambiance is as important as the cuisine to me.
