It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. In fact, Perry Hall features a spacious private party room for 80 that can be easily divided into two intimate rooms of 30. We have also, on numerous occasions, offered the entire restaurant to host gatherings of 200. The Perry Hall lounge features 6 large plasmas and a hip, cool scene — the perfect place for a Cosmopolitan.     We have been going to Lynnwood's for many many years and have always had wonderful meals. This last meal was disappointing for me because the ribeye sirloin steak was course and tough and not very good. My appetizers were wonderful. I had the crunchy oysters. the Caesar salad was delicious But my steak dinner and the cream spinach were blah. My wife's dinner was excellent. She had the beef tenderloin dish and a cup of cream of crab soup, which was also excellent. We certainly will be coming back, but I don't think I'm going to order sirloin or ribeye Cut of steak anymore

    I was very pleased with my experience this weekend at Sammy Trattoria. We had dinner there before going to the theatre and the services was excellent and mindful of our timeframe. The food was delicious and very generous portions for the price. Extremely happy and would highly recommend to friends and collogues.

    We needed special accommodations and everything was set up perfectly. There was no commotion or attention drawn to us. The staff was very personable and efficient. Our waiter Joseph was exceptional. The facility also exceeded my expectations and parking was very close. The directions provided by the representative over the phone, to accommodate my daughter upon arrival, were precise. I had a 10 out of 10 experience from start to finish.
