Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in West Phoenix

This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Phoenix. I have been coming since I covered it as a reporter years ago when it opened. I enjoyed my favorite dish—fish and chips—while looking out at the Phoenix Suns crowd I would be joining afterwards right across the street!

Excellent experience. Not cheap but I wanted a top notch experience in a breathtaking setting. Christopher's far exceeded our expectations. The service from all the friendly servers left us never wanting. The wine list was extensive and the wine stewardess was a great help. The staff worked with me to taylor our food selections and timing of the arrival of the dishes which varied from what I ordered online. The food was very creative and very flavorful. We enjoyed all the dishes and the artwork and chemistry involved. Christopher is incredible with his creations. His personal visit capped the evening. If you're looking for an incredible dining experience you will not be disappointed at Christopher's.

Since our last visit nearly a year ago, Anhelo has changed from a simple dinner menu to a course-based approach. We quite like this approach but while it gives many choices, it is also a bit limiting for the table because everyone is required to select the same course. Granted, there are numerous choices and add-ins but I'm sure it helps simplify things for the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience with Anhelo. The petite course is definitely a lot of food when you consider the bread serving and the formage we added to our dining experience. I wouldn't skip the wine pairing either - they have a tremendous cellar and they paired well with each course. The staff is amazingly coordinated and synchronized throughout the night. Can't say enough about the service and professionalism of everyone. We'll be back!
