   Went there for my 10th anniversary and it was a great experience. Most of the food was exceptional except for the beef. However they were very genuine in trying to make things right.

   We dined in the private upstairs room with a party of seven people. The menu was huge and was the same one as served in the main restaurant. The service, including the Sommelier, was superb, and the management was very cooperative and forthcoming in accommodating our requests.

   My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Gary Danko and it was wonderful. We had 5 courses and every single dish was amazing. There are options for 3 or 4 courses as well. This is probably in our top 5 places we've tried in SF so far when you combine food, service, and ambiance. I like that there was an option to change some of the chef selections for something else if we wanted to. The wine pairing was perfectly done. The service was fantastic as well. Note: Parking is about a block away with an incline up to the restaurant. Parking is probably the only small complaint, however it is SF and parking is not normally available.

   As always, Gary Danko is a special experience. Our host welcomed us with a warm smile, the service is attentive and unobtrusive, the food delicious. My favorites continue to be the Lobster risotto, scallops, Beef tenderloin and chocolate soufflé. There are many good Restaurant choices in San Francisco, Gary Danko continues to be a step above in every category for me. We look forward to our next visit soon.

   Kira was our server and she was phenomenal. The service overall was timely, food was high quality, and the ambiance is perfect for a special evening. Could not recommend more

   Had a great time dining here. The staff were very responsive. Food was great! Risoto was amazing! Wine selection was okay, at least the selection on by the glass. Overall was great!

   Food was well presented and delicious but what took the top honors was the service which was of top order. The staff was attentive but not obsequious and the atmosphere was relaxed and not stuffy. I particularly employed the lobster risotto and the seared scallops and my wife was partial towards the branzino

    Gary Danko - quintessential San Francisco fine dining without being stuck in the past. Everything about the evening - from the hosts, to the wait staff, to each superb dish was extraordinary. The wine sommelier was a bit less polished and approachable than I prefer, but even that did not diminish the evening.
