   I love Greens Restaurant. The food is always great, and the service is excellent. Kathy was our server, and she was fantastic. She was patient, informative, and friendly. You could not ask for a better person to help us.

   I think Green's is hitting new heights. As a regular diner for 30+ years, I hav always been a fan but the food and service just hit the mark. Precise, amazing flavors from the freshest ingrediants. And our server was incredibly warm and welcoming. This is food worth driving. sailing, swimming for!

   As always, Greens delivers for a lovely evening with an enjoyable ambiance, impeccable staff, and exquisite meal. We had a cocktail and Pinot noir, the kale fattoush salad, cornbread, lentil dumplings, and homemade pasta. Ron was funny, engaging, and attentive. A true classy waiter, all we wanted.    I had selected Greens because I had visitors from the UK who had informed me that they were vegetarians. I had been researching vegetarian restaurants near where we would be staying along the coast and it looked like a number of them described themselves as "vegetarian-friendly" which seemed to indicate only that they had a salad or a risotto. I figured Greens was the safest place to find a bonafide, vegetarian-intensive menu. I made a 5 :30pm reservation which was confirmed. We got to the restarant a little after five thinking we might get a cocktail before dinner. There was a sign that said the entire staff was in a pre-shift meeting that would last to 5:30pm. We decided to go next door. We returned at 5:30 to be told by the host that our reservation was for 5pm, but that he could take us anyway. The dining room was nearly empty. At this point I am feeling a little embarrassed. Our server was terrific. Very attentive. The menu was the big disappointment. It looked like starters, soups and salads, then what appeared to be small plates (for sharing, like tapas) and bottom, right, a very small set of entrees that included a pizza and a pasta dish. Really? That's it? I ordered basically one of each of the small plates which i was hoping would impress my guests. I ordered an additional vada and griddle cake. When items started arriving I was surprised that so little attention had been paid to presentation. These looked more like side dishes than small plates. One item, I think it was the dahi vada was so dry that we couldn't actually be sure what it was. The egg roll item was cut in halves to share, but also sort of dry and flavorless. The egg rolls apeared to be floating in a pool of pork and beans mixed with the frozen diced carrots and peas from Safeway. Not a good value. Poor appearance. I just couldn't believe that the grand doyen of SF vegetarian restaurants produced miss after miss to our table. My Brit guests were polite, but it was a disappointment.

   We don't eat at vegetarian restaurants often, so it was slightly more challenging to order--and guess what? Everything was delicious and filling!!!! We loved the low level of noise. THANK YOU. Our servers were very attentive as well.
