Herb provides fine Thai dining in the Chicago area. The chefs use the freshest and highest-quality ingredients (mostly organic) while at the same time injecting their passion for the culinary arts in each and every dish. The restaurant itself is the creation of Patty Neumson, who grew up in Thailand. She has developed four seasonal menus for Herb that guests can order from, depending on the time of year. Herb has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for its cuisine. Winner of Guy Fieri's 'Spiciest Episode', and Chef battle '18. Won Best 100 Dishes in Chicago from Time Out Magazine. '15-'18 Michelin recommended restaurant. Zagat Rated in '17 as Best Restaurant. As seen on channel 5, 7, 9, and 11.

    Amazing experience! The food was delicious, and Chef Patty made us feel right at home. Her warmth and friendliness created a cozy, family-like atmosphere—it felt just like having dinner with loved ones. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be back.

    Creative, delicate, layered and delicious food, in a rare tranquil setting. Subtle and striking flavors intermingle across the courses. Don’t let the menu intimidate- you will devour it all! Great for conversation, relaxing and enjoying your meal. The service is so kind as to make you feel a neighborhood regular, even if you traveled from out of state!

    Fresh flavors. Small but interesting menu. Portions are on the smaller side and there are some kinks in the service which are quickly forgotten as the team is very pleasant and wants you to enjoy your experience..

    Great fresh food with wonderful flavors, a real treat of a tasting menu with each dish beautifully presented and carefully crafted. The attention to detail and passion in the food is fantastic and a great way to spend an evening with no rush, just relax and enjoy the food.

    Hadn't been to Herb in a while, but what a wonderful meal and experience we had two weeks ago with our close friends. In the past the food was always so excellent that tolerating a bit of unevenness in the service was well worth it, but our most recent experience hit on all cylinders. Will definitely be going back and continuing to recommend.

    This restaurant never disappoints. I brought friends and we were all gushing about the complex delicious flavors. The restaurant is pretty as well and the staff is courteous and accommodating. Patty is a marvel and I always make sure I visit Herb when I’m visiting Chicago.
