Insignia Steak & Sushi is the creation of Anthony Scotto - Owner of Blackstone Steakhouse , Rare650 Prime Steak & Sushi, One10 Modern Italian Steakhouse, Opus Steakhouse & Bijou Modern American Asian.

Like its predecessors, Insignia's inspired menu features the finest prime dry-aged steaks and the freshest Sushi & Seafood, including fresh whole fish, served up in a chic, elegant atmosphere that is also a feast for the eyes. Picture a historic North shore mansion with cedar shakes, quarried stone and a beautiful turret combined with the energy and vibe of a trendy Las Vegas restaurant.     Not the best experience. Food was delivered inaccurately- $125 wagyu steak didn’t taste any different from $98 steak, Steak was burnt, not medium as I ordered. Got one order when two was ordered, so we had to wait.. Alex was a kind and gracious waiter and I gave him $125 tip, but was not ‘wowed’ and feel discouraged returning to the restaurant to dine.

    Great food and services, drinks were a little weak though. They had a Wagyu ribeye for $98, tasted amazing. The garlic mash, sweet corn, and cream of spinach are great sides. The Mt. Fuji roll comes with a huge heaping amount of Kani salad!

    I didn’t like the policy of not being able to use the $50 bonus gift certificate that expires in March.  Just a very bad policy. When in doubt or when you create a gray area, it should go in favor of the guest. Such a shame to room ruin a nice vibe on a $50 gift card incentive that you can’t use based on fine print.

    We went for the $69 weekly Dinner Special. We love Insignia, service and food. The only complaint I had was I ordered the 12oz NY Strip Steak and the waiter asked if I wanted it on the bone and I what is the difference, he says flavor, so of course I said sure. When the bill came that upped the $69 too $84 (That is the KC strip steak) without explaining it to be. The steak was fantastic but that should be explained up front so a customer can decide if the wanted to pay $15 more.

    I really loved the overall experience. Great cocktail and wine menu. Quality wines by the glass which is nice when you don’t want a full bottle but want the best! The staff work like a cohesive team to deliver great service. I had the Porterhouse which was perfect. My son actually had the Wagyu on the hot stone that was on the appetizer menu. He enjoyed cooking it on the stone and of course with all the sides made a wonderful dinner that was a bit different ! Overall - looking forward to going back soon.

    Excellent food and service as always. We have been going here a few times a year since they opened and it never disappoints. Expect to pay $300+ for two with drinks.
