    At 5 p.m. on theWednesday before Christmas, they were out of 2 different steaks that we usually order. The food we did order was very delicious, but more expensive. We love this restaurant, but disappointed the menu was not fully available. Great service too!

    The food was delicious, and all the staff were helpful and courteous. We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation time, and they were able to get us a table anyway. J.Gilbert’s is always an enjoyable experience.

    Have been here several times and it is typically quite good but the service and food tonight was surprisingly mediocre. Vegetable was cold and steak was severely over cooked.

    Steaks, seafood, and pork chops tonight. All cooked perfectly, and the service was excellent. One of our favorite restaurants.

    I made reservations for my birthday and out that in the notes. Once sat and server came to the table it wasn’t acknowledged even mentioned it but sever act like he couldn’t hear. It was busy so definitely loud and server was very quick with his spill of specials then walked off. Filled water over the bannister instead of the table which was odd. Food was good but experience for my birthday just wasn’t it.

    I had the 12oz prime rib and about halfway through I had 2 or 3 bone chips in my mouth. I don't think that was suppose to be there. I had to stop and we got our food boxed and left.

    The food was absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve had ever! The prix fixe is a great deal and has some great options! The server was so sweet and helped me celebrate my birthday and everything. We will be back for sure!
