   Good food and service for a last minute choice just before theatre. Expensive but good enough to justify the prices

   While my guests and I enjoyed ourselves very much and it was ok to be escorted to the bae for a drink while waiting for our table - we were on time - we found the drink service some what slow. We were not told that we had to order our drinks at the bar ourselves. After waiting for service for some time, then not getting responses from seeming wait staff who passed by our table, we asked other guests. Drink service was slow. We had to ask twice for each of the two bottles of wine ordered. Everyone was very apologetic which alleviated the situation and otherwise, all was well (I last dined in your restaurant some 50 years ago!)

   J Sheekys has never disappointed. Personally I prefer inside the restaurant area or walk-in and eat at the bar if there’s availability. Food beautifully fresh and cooked well. Perfect for lunch or dinner. Interior wood panels and traditional. Will always be one of my favourite haunts in London.

   Best Dover Sole in a long time. Generous portion and nice pudding to finish. Very extensive wine list, so had a nice Albarino. Service personal were attentive. The cancellation policy is a bit harsh. I was very sick, but they were able to re-schedule me.
