Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. From its original opening in 2007, Joule has cultivated a loyal dining fan base and captured the attention of an admiring local and national media captivated by the couple’s unique, modern perspective on Korean cuisine. Joule, the mature sibling to Yang and Chirchi’s restaurant, Revel, highlights Korea’s love of beef featuring unconventional cuts accompanied by distinctive and shareable side dishes.

Joule takes reservations for 1.75-3 hour time slots (depending on party size). We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible and ask that you are considerate of other diners at the end of your meal. If you feel that your party requires more time, please let us know in the notes and we will get back to you with our available accommodations.

The staff is wonderful as is the food. The big down side is the noise. In the open format of the restaurant, there were two tables with working very hard to be the loudest. It was disappointing.

This was our first Korean dining experience so we didn't know what to expect. The menu seemed a bit limited and, being vegetarian, we had only a few choices which was fine. Some of our dishes were great, such as the scallion pancake and the crispy squash but some were a bit bland, like the noodles with black garlic. Sesame mochi cake for dessert was delicious. After we mentioned to the server our disappintment in the noodles (just in passing!), they comped us dessert which was very kind. The visit has emboldened us to try other Korean restaurants!

Been several times to Joule (and sister restaurant Revel), and enjoy it every time. This time the stand outs were the mackeral and the Kung Pao crispy squash. Service was friendly and prompt.

Went here for a special occasion (birthday) dinner and couldn't have had a lovelier time. Everything -- from the service to the presentation to the festival of tastes that greeted us with each dish -- was absolutely stunning. What a wonderful discovery!

Absolutely delicious! We came for our anniversary and ordered the Green Onion Pancakes, Scallop Fried Rice, Mackerel, Squash and “That” Steak to share between the two of us. We also ordered drinks, all three of which we tried were delicious! Everything was amazing, the scallion pancakes with the salmon roe and creme fraiche was an amazing way to start the meal, and the mackerel and steak were done fantastically. We ended the night on the paper cake (absolutely amazing) and our waiter brought out a surprise cake for us to celebrate with! I believe it was maybe ube ice cream and mochi cake? It was delicious! Overall a fantastic night!
