Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. From its original opening in 2007, Joule has cultivated a loyal dining fan base and captured the attention of an admiring local and national media captivated by the couple’s unique, modern perspective on Korean cuisine. Joule, the mature sibling to Yang and Chirchi’s restaurant, Revel, highlights Korea’s love of beef featuring unconventional cuts accompanied by distinctive and shareable side dishes.
Joule takes reservations for 1.75-3 hour time slots (depending on party size). We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible and ask that you are considerate of other diners at the end of your meal. If you feel that your party requires more time, please let us know in the notes and we will get back to you with our available accommodations.
Why they're an Icon
Executive chef: Rachel Yang
From the OpenTable editors: This neighborhood charmer from multi-James Beard Award-nominated chefs Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi is where you go for refined Korean steakhouse fare with a Pacific Northwestern twist. Dishes like Gochujang lamb adobo with green curry pea puree exemplify the wife-and-husband team’s bold flavors rooted in classic techniques. Watch them work from an open kitchen in the inviting space, complete with handmade wallpaper and communal seating that make every meal feel like a lively dinner party.

Brandie was so helpful at time of booking for the birthday guest and everyone on her team was aware of the birthday and came to our table to wish him a happy birthday. the food was amazing, however the service from start to finish was exceptional. Thank you Brandie and team for making my son's birthday memorable.

The blush chicory salad personally did not mesh well with the other courses and tasted very earthy. The duck jook was also tough.

The rice cakes are a staple and delicious as always, the Muscovy duck was new as was the winter root vegetables, which were both excellent. Don't sleep on the sauces they are each nestled in, it takes these 2 dishes to the next level.

Joule is a special place! A beautiful ambience and welcoming staff. A great date night or nice treat to yourself any day of the week. The food is delicious, and the drinks are the cherry on top. My wife and I shared the New York strip steak—it was cooked to perfection. The scallop fried rice was full of flavor and the scallops were fresh. The carrot girum was AWESOME. PACKED WITH FLAVOR.
The black sesame mochi cake was really good also. As for drinks. I highly recommend the peach picante, pear cardamon and the lychee drink. All very flavorful and
