Opened in 2001 La Garrigue is a 2 AA Rosettes French restaurant located just a stones throw away from Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile and minutes away from Waverley train station with stunning views of Calton Hill.
The restaurant is themed around the culinary specialities of the southern regions of France offering hearty dishes such as Roquefort Cheese Soufflé, Fish Soup, Traditional Cassoulet and using the best of local produces as well as French ones. The wine list is extensive and is suitably representative of Languedoc, the largest of France's wine producing regions and has been awarded AA Notable Wine List for years.
Be ready to be transported to France as you come in, friendly and relaxed atmosphere mixed with chic yet casual surroundings.

A most enjoyable Hogmany meal with friends in a relaxed environment. The set menu was really delicious, well balanced and beautifully prepared; portion sizes were spot on too. Wine selection excellent and the service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. We all thought the portions were a little on the small side but it definitely wouldn't stop us going back.

Food was excellent. The table had the salmon, pheasant, duck confit, and baked onion. Wait staff was very nice and the service was quick. Interesting French wine menu. I will go back

From the first sip of the house cocktail to the last bite of crème brûlée, our experience at La Garrigue was fantastic. I’d highly recommend the Roquefort soufflé and the caq au vin. The owner was friendly and helpful in recommending wines to complement our dishes. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Superb French cuisine, excellent wine list and a comfortable homely feel. Would recommend La Garrigue for a small gathering, a family get-together or to experience great French cooking.

What a fantastic evening. Incredible food, attentive welcoming service, and the recommended wine paired perfectly with our meal. We can’t wait to come back, and would highly recommend a visit to every discerning diner!
