Built in 1903, The Echo Building was home to the Sea Coast Echo newspaper and is a great example of early 20th Century architecture on the Gulf Coast. After Katrina, Ann Tidwell, her family and local residents began the arduous journey to restore the historic structure, working tirelessly to restore its rustic charm by reclaiming original wood beaded boards and exposing massive wooden support beams. Following Katrina, in 2011, we were the first to reopen on the Bay. We serve lunch and dinner seven days a week and we feature fresh local seafood, savory steaks and delicious home-style dishes. Still the best fine dining experience the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer. Like I read on the menu, it’s the best New Orleans restaurant outside of New Orleans. Food, service, and ambience are all first class! You will not be disappointed, try anything and everything.
