I let them know about a good allergy and they were aware of it at my arrival. We were escorted to our table on time and had a great view. The staff were attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the surf & turf and the mummy shrimp along with 4 different sides. Instead of appetizers we did some of their cute cocktails in the fish glass and coconut. Great place and a must visit if you are ever in PV.More infoMar Y VinoPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Puerto Vallarta•4.6
- JJonathanGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI went to Le Bistro the very first time I came to Puerto Vallarta more than 13 years ago. It was very good, but the newest iteration of this restaurant is simply magnificent. Three of us went on Valentines Day evening, one of the busiest night of the year for fine dining restaurants. We arrived for our 8pm reservation a few minutes early and the electricity was out upon arrival. Ordinarily this would put any restaurant in a tailspin for the rest of the night, but not here. Staff was grave under pressure and the lights were back on in about 10 minutes. Power outages are not uncommon in PV. The 3 of us were greeted and seated at a gorgeous table in the most amazing outdoor setting beneath huge mature trees with hanging lanterns and beside the flowing river. Staff was definitely hustling as the place was completely booked, but we had two or three servers always checking in on us and made sure we had plenty of wine, bread, etc. as we took in the experience. I had the best French onion soup I’ve ever had as an appetizer followed by a gorgeous Cornish hen preparation. My friends had a carmelized onion & chanterelle tart and black truffle porcini raviolis as their starters. My friend is still talking about the tart 3 days later! For their meals, one had the filet mignon with pork belly; Jane had the salmon. Everything presented beautifully, hot, and plentiful. Honestly, this place won us over big time. It’s hard to get things right on one of the biggest nights of the year, and especially so when disaster strikes like a power outage. It’s US prices and worth every penny. Please go on a special occasion or for breakfast or lunch. It’s so worth it and a memorable experience. ❤️More infoLe BistroPrice: Very Expensive• French American• Puerto Vallarta•4.7
- BBobDenver / Colorado •14 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoTintoque has very flavorful and interesting food. I would highly recommend this place for foodies. We sat on the back patio, which overlooks a dry river bed (it could be wet during the rainy season). The patio is nicely done and comfortable. Even though it was a cool night, there was an oscillating fan running, which was a little loud and distracting, but otherwise, the patio was very nice. Our wait staff was very attentive. We started with margaritas and then ordered a bottle of Italian wine. The wine list is extensive, and more expensive than expected, which seems typical for Mexico. The best part was the food! They brought a nice muse bouch. There were two of us, and we ordered two items for sharing and then two entrees. All courses were very generous and we could have shared fewer items. The dishes were very creative and well-presented. We highlight recommend this place.More infoTintoquePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Puerto Vallarta•4.8
- HHaydenSan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLa Palapa is hands-down our favorite dining spot in Puerto Vallarta. It’s the perfect place to catch a sunset, with stunning ocean views and an ambiance that strikes just the right balance between relaxed and elegant. The service here is consistently good—friendly, attentive, and warm without being overbearing. It’s clear the staff takes pride in creating a welcoming experience. The food is fun and approachable, offering a mix of flavors that never feels pretentious. Whether it’s a fresh seafood dish or a creative cocktail, everything is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We make it a point to dine at La Palapa both at the beginning and end of every trip, and it never disappoints. It’s more than a meal; it’s part of the Puerto Vallarta experience.More infoLa Palapa RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• International• Puerto Vallarta•4.7
