- EEileenNew York City •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a lovely brunch at the Artisan this afternoon. We had a 12:30 reservation, which was a good time as it was not too crowded. Both our selections from the fixed price menu were excellent. We had the French toast and the Crocque Madame. The eggs were perfect. The noise level was acceptable and there was a very good guitarist playing quiet background music. Very satisfactory. We recommend it.More infoArtisanPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Southport•4.7
- FFatosVIPNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe dined at Blackstones on Saturday, 2/15, to celebrate my beautiful wife’s 50th birthday, and it was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our special evening. Our party of six enjoyed an outstanding dinner, including the Surf and Turf combination – a perfectly cooked Tomahawk steak and succulent (giant) lobster – along with three incredible filet mignons that melted in my family members' mouths. The appetizers were just as impressive, with crispy fried calamari, fresh oysters, flavorful tuna tartar, shrimp cocktail, and a refreshing tomato mozzarella salad. The side dishes, wine and drinks complemented the meal beautifully, making the experience truly indulgent. Beyond the phenomenal food, what stood out the most was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. I’ve been to this Blackstones (and a few of their sister locations in Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich) a number of times with family, friends, and business acquaintances but usually go to this one because its location is closer to my home. Each visit has been consistently exceptional. Blackstones in Southport remains my go-to steakhouse for any special occasion, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. We will absolutely be returning! Heartfelt thanks to the Blackstones' staff and its owner Aldo, who are always gracious and hospitable, for making my wife’s milestone birthday truly memorable!More infoBlackstones GrillePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Southport•4.5
- TTomConnecticut •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe best dining experience I have had in a LONG time. The vibe of the restaurant is stylish yet comfortable, the waitstaff was knowledgeable, friendly, and on-point. But the food... out of this world. We split lemongrass mussels for an appetizer - more than enough for two, where my date asked for a spoon for the broth. The entrees were halibut and salmon special, the salmon came with a smoked rouge sauce that was hands down the best sauce to go with fish I've ever had. My date cleaned her plate of the halibut and said the combination of flavors on her plate was divine! I had goat cheesecake and we split the apple tart for dessert - both absolute winners. And the coffee was locally roasted, super fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal!! The chef also came out to say hello and ask how everything was! Can't wait to go back!!More info29 Markle CtPrice: Expensive• American• Bridgeport•4.7
- LLisaVIPNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis is my go-to all time favorite Mediterranean restaurant in all of CT. We drove through the snow to dine at Esh and it was worth the 40 mile round trip! We are always so excited and so look forward to dining in this most beautiful warm inviting establishment. The interior is captivating with its beautiful bar, the lit trees stretching towards the sky and the red heart balloons adorned the restaurant throughout since it was Valentines Day weekend. From the Esh margaritas to Grandmas biscuit cake, the food is just divine, I literally have visions of what we will order. The Taboon bread is the BEST, and the hummus, tzatziki and eggplant & feta dips are enough to be blissfully content but why stop there. Baby gem salad, roasted beets, the ribeye steak (thanks Markaduke for the recommendation), the brazino and beef shawarma, perfection. Congratulations to Norm and his team of Chefs, culinary wizards, and the manager Nino who I just love for his caring nature, hostesses Gabriella and Charlotte who understand and elevate what the customer experience should be. Always a great experience above and beyond. I can’t wait for the next occasion to dine here. ❤️More infoEsh Modern Mediterranean - FairfieldPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Fairfield•4.8
