Restaurants near Unicorn Stadium

The oysters Rockefeller was outstanding, as was the rest of our dinner. It's a beautifully restored post office originally built in the early 1900's . Eric was our server and he was top notch. Ask for Eric or Hal. Both were great.

Had an early dinner reservation - were seated immediately. Server was prompt and thorough, getting our drink order while we decided on appetizers/entrees. Thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp cocktails and house salads. The steaks we ordered were cooked nicely and had good flavor. The overall experience was very positive and will be back again.

Once again the Gruene Door was an exceptional experience. The food was scrumptious. I had the beef tip pasta, very delicious. The meet was tender and the mushrooms gave it a great flavor. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was wonderful. Loved the smooth jazz that played in the background. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. A wonder birthday celebration.

Our server, Steven, was terrific. I ordered the Surf and Turf (6 oz filet and Lobster tail) and my wife ordered the mixed grill which comes with a 4 oz filet. When the food arrived, it appeared that the 2 steaks had been mixed up as the one on my wife's plate was obviously much larger. The 4 oz filet was also overcooked. My lobster tail also seemed to be overcooked. The baked potato was really good, and my wife enjoyed her plate.

This is a perfect date place with magnificent Espresso Martinis and Jazz!! Service is outstanding.
