- RROBERTvipLas Vegas •9 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAbsolutely stellar. I started with the turkey tamal, which was very hot (you've been warned), but amazingly delicious. The yellow chileajo with pork ribs was also very, very good. If you want complex Mexican sauces, rendered to utter perfection, this is definitely your place. I also thought the tortilla/salsa tasting station before actual seating was a wonderful, interesting and charming touch. Highly recommend.More infoTierra del solPrice: Expensive• Traditional Mexican• Oaxaca•4.5
- SstudentGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoBeautiful dining patio with lovely service (both in English and Spanish). The drink pairing was interesting with different types of alcohol such as Cava, Mexican sake, beer, tequila and a gin & ginger cocktail. Original choices and all went well with the delicious food. At one point the courses came a little bit too quickly after one another but after we asked to slow down a bit they were flexible and immediately slowed down. The umami soft shell crab with mole taco was our favorite as well as the tamales filled with guava with herbal yoghurt ice cream. We also tasted a bunch of new regional fruits and vegetables - all in all a great experience and well worth the money!More infoCriolloPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Oaxaca•4.6
- JjeanneChicago / Illinois •8 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoMy husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the rooftop. Gorgeous setting next to the main temple! We ordered mezcal cocktails, the tomato and burrata salad, the quesadilla, and the short rib entrée. Everything was delicious and without a single flaw. They surprised us by mixing up a fresh salsa in a molcajete at the table. Got to try fried grasshoppers -a salty ingredient in the salsa if you prefer. Do not miss this opportunity when in Oaxaca!More infoCasa Oaxaca El RestaurantePrice: Very Expensive• Regional Mexican• Oaxaca•4.6
- BBenjaminvipPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024This was the best “fine-dining” experience we had in Oaxaca. The food was amazing and adventurous, mixing flavors, but with supreme skill. Very attentive service and a beautiful view from their terrace. Be warned, however, that that seating option is up three flights of stairs. Otherwise, a perfect dinnerMore infoPitiona Cocina de AutorPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Oaxaca•4.4
