Restaurants near Mount Rogers National Recreation Area

Passing through, this seemed like an interesting place to go for lunch. Trout dominates the menu -- 100% fine for us. I enjoyed smoked trout with gouda grits, partner took her trout on a kale salad -- both were 100% happily consumed to the bottom of the plate. We weren't drinking for lunch, but there is plenty of beer and wine for those looking for those options. Definitely would love to try the place again for dinner when we visit next.

The wait staff was excellent, our primary server had great suggestions for non alcoholic drinks and went out of her way to find a non dairy dessert option.

We had a lovely meal. Our server was excellent as was the food. We loved sitting near the fireplace.

Lovely venue …glad I had made reservations. Lunch was good but given name of restaurant, I was surprised @ menu choices (nothing French?). There were 4 of us and 1 was not a wine drinker so it was nice that they had beer on the menu. We enjoyed it & will go back.

Wonderful ambiance, great staff. Delicious food. Limited menu, but what we had was good. Very pleasant evening. We love this hotel and have eaten here a half dozen times over the years. Each time it’s different! But always a pleasant, lovely experience.
