- RRonSouth Carolina •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe overall dining experience was good, but to be honest, the quality of the food did not match what we had experienced before. It was good and there was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't reach previous levels of taste experience. The service was perfect and we could not have asked for better, and as always the setting and view is spectacular. We were seated right on the edge of the balcony, which I appreciated as this was a birthday celebration, and I only had to suggest that it might be a little cool and immediately the heaters were turned on. One drawback was the menu. There were multiple menus to choose from which is a little confusing to begin with, and when we finally chose to order from the Chef's Selections menu, my companions were very confused about how to order and the pricing. We had all been there before and do not remember the process being so complicated. Still, we had no regrets in dining there for our celebration, and it remains on our list of favorites in Mexico City.More infoEl Balcon del ZocaloPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Centro•4.5

The historic house is beautiful, but we were seated at a poor table despite the restaurant being less than half full, which was disappointing.More infoTavernaPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Molino del Rey•4.5

The best drink was the Hanky Panky.More infoHanky Panky Cocktail BarPrice: Very Expensive• International• Juárez/Cuauhtémoc•4.7
- AAlvaroMexico City •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 5, 2024La Gruta in Teotihuacan is a unique dining experience set inside a stunning natural cave—a truly memorable spot. The ambiance is amazing, and the cool, earthy vibe of the cave adds to the magic of dining near the ancient pyramids. The food was fantastic, with flavors that felt both authentic and refined. Dishes were beautifully presented, and everything we ordered was delicious. That said, be prepared for a bit of a splurge. Main dishes typically range from $20 to $25, and specialty drinks like margaritas can go over $15. It’s definitely one of the pricier spots around, but if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience and quality, it’s worth it!More infoLa Gruta TeotihuacanPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Teotihuacán•4.5
