Restaurants near War Memorial Opera House

We love this reliably delicious restaurant. I just wish that this and other restaurants in the area were open later. We were able to go after the symphony this evening only because it was a short concert, but usually the opera and symphony conclude too late for us to have dinner here. I realize restaurants are reluctant to commit to later hours given concerns over demand, but I think the ones in this neighborhood would do better business if they did so. We love to eat in this area after a performance, and this is one of the better options. The food is decadently delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and elegant, and the service has never disappointed. They know what they're doing.

Chicken and mushroom bao was good and fluffy. Plant-based potstickers were ok. Cucumber salad is on the sweet side, very refreshing. Drinks were good, 3 out of 3 bangers.

Four stars very good fits perfectly for Teakwood. We've been Burma Love fans for years and Teakwood is a welcome addition to the Hayes Valley pre-event scene. Our server was very sweet, and while service overall was a bit disjointed, it was understandable. They handled the pre-theater rush well. The atmosphere is bright and lovely and the food was very good.

Delicious rolls. We ordered successively, not all at once. Our waitperson was very accommodating. The Shitake Manhattans were fantastic. Thank you for a most enjoyable meal.

Amazing and creative food! So delicious and worthy for a special occasion! Will definitely be back.
