Restaurants near 1221 Avenue of the Americas

I am not saying this lightly. Unquestionably the best meal my husband and I ever had. We had four courses chosen off the regular menu accompanied by wine pairings explained by the sommelier, Matt, who loved his job. It was not unlike an interesting history lesson. Great food! I agree with my husband who said that they really know how to season. I have to add they know how to add an unexpected ingredient that made what would have been a mundane mushroom risotto pop. It was just the right, small amount of pickled mushrooms sprinkled on top. While the crabcake was huge, lump and traditionally prepared. Where it wasn’t required they didn’t over season or do anything just to do something new. Nothing seemed like an afterthought. Fine dining at its best. We are both looking forward to going back.

We celebrated our 5th anniversary there, the place was very busy and extra busy bc of the holiday seasons, everything was wonderful from service to food except out table for two was in a very high traffic area so I was consistently bumped by people, steak was great and so was our server, located next to Fox News building so expect some familiar faces

The food was delicious! French onion soup is a must, perfectly melted Gruyère and a generous amount of soup. I also had the Croque Monsieur which was so filling and beautifully melted. Great ambience, attentive staff and we were not rushed. Made for an absolutely wonderful family get together. Will be back!

Quality Bistro was recommended to us and I’m so glad we decided to try it. We booked a reservation after a show, it was the perfect choice. Kaz, our waiter was terrific. All of the staff were helpful and cheery. The food was outstanding and the decor was fabulous!

There were 10 of us & we had made reservations at 5 pm as we had 7 pm theater tickets. Our table was ready for us upon arrival & our waiter was friendly & on point from start to finish. Service was great without feeling rushed & his wine suggestion was perfect. The portions are huge so we started with the calamari & Caesar salad which was plenty for all of us & both very good. We chose 4 dishes, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine, Rigatoni & Broccoli, & Penne alla Vodka & all were delicious. We all commnted that the Penne was the best we’d had as the sauce was not too heavy & perfectly spiced. Although we could have only ordered 3 dishes, we all enjoyed the variety of the 4 choices. We finished off with cappuccinos for the table & made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant & the bonus was it was very reasonable.
