The George hotel is a beautiful 400 year old hotel, currently only used as a restaurant. Taken over in 2020, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, adourning wonderful photos of chepstow through the years.     It is so beautiful the staff are amazing very knowledgeable if you ask about one of the dishes we had the garlic prawns for our starter it was amazing the sauce was to die for then the meat platter came and wow it was beautiful but before that they brought dips and a lovely lovely bread and a long plate with salad olives & cheese the toilets were very clean and several staff passing your table check with you if everything is ok and can they get you anything well worth a visit I will be going there again

    All courses were absolutely delicious. Well seasoned and presented, with great flavours. The two fish dishes I had (tuna starter and prawn main) were melt in your mouth. Friendly and attentive staff too. Highly recommend.

    We went for the Tapas evening and the food was fantastic! Great choice to suit everyone and we enjoyed every option - we had 12 between 4 of us. The service was friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Thank you
