Restaurants near Bolton Notch State Park

This was a great night at the Mill for Vday. My wife and I had reservations for 8:00pm. Although we weren't seated right away the wait wasn't no more than 10 minutes as they were very busy with sold out reservations throughout the evening/night. While we waiting they came around with complimentary champagne for everyone, it was great. Food and menu were top tier and we enjoyed ourselves. I have known this restaurant for years since I was a child, so I have never been disappointed.

An absolute exquisite dining experience with incredible service, fine wines, and a wonderful cozy atmosphere. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. They are so careful in their preparation and so precise. Such high-quality food. It’s also the restaurant I go to for every one of my birthdays!

Service was excellent even though we were told they were short a few servers. Food was excellent, especially the original wings. Just a few items were unavailable, but no big deal. When my daughter’s food came out with cheese (when we asked for no cheese) they were very apologetic and offered to remake it. Overall a very good experience.

I Live out of state and drove an hour to enjoy this experience. In the town that I live, there are five Jamaican restaurants but nothing with the nice sit down atmosphere that long got miss Penny has. I’ve been twice and plan to continue supporting this business so that it can do well. I was glad to attend the ribbon-cutting, and although the place was packed, and the service was slower, the seven people I brought enjoyed the experience and the food. I plan to continue supporting this business.
