The name Sarita is a nod to Chef Anthony Romano’s mentor, plus the name of a song by the New Orleans band, The Subdudes, one of the chef’s favorites. The restaurant is owned by executive chef Romano.     For me this was my perfect dining experience. Mood lighting but bright enough to read the tinniest print on the menu. Interesting menu options but not too out of left field. Good portion sizes but not too big where I couldn’t finish my plate. I left feeling stuffed and happy. Everything felt thoughtful and well cared for. I had almost lost hope in dining in NEO but after last night it’s good to know there are still restaurants that give a damn. Also shoutout to our server Bryan, he complimented me on mostly finishing my plate like a mother complements her well eating baby.

    The waitress was very patient. We had a party of 12. Went on Christmas Day and the food could have been better. Everything wasn’t perfect, but it was okay. Drinks at bar were good. They don’t need to serve cold crab legs and cold lobsters though.

    Overall not bad. Thought prices were a little steep for a bar but the food was good. We were there on band night - $10 cover reservations not required but highly recommended ... However if it's only 2 of you they won't reserve you a table they'll stick you at the bar.
