Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant offers fresh food focused on local sourcing and home-made recipees. Our beef is raised in Holgate, OH and processed locally. The cheese on our boards is made from local, whole milk in Hicksville, OH. We use 100% California olive oil in our oil based dressings - it is not cut with canola/soy/vegetable oils. Our flatbreads come in at less than 30 carbs each. We are known for our cocktails, particularly our Old Fashioneds and our Seasonal Speicialty Drinks. Our building was constructed in 1871, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019 and completely renovated to expose it's historic lines and features in 2021. We are within Defiance's DORA District and directly across from Triangle Park in Defiance's historic downtown. Step back in time, window shop the downtown and then come and dine.     Had a nice dinner at the Sweetwater Chop House. Our second visit. I chose the Wagyu Steak and it was cooked to my tastes. Started the dinner with the Brussels Sprouts. I do not eat Brussels Sprouts anywhere except here. The sauce it is cooked in makes them palatable. No dessert this trip, but I would like to make a separate visit just for dessert. The others in my party had no complaints on the dining experience. Made reservation but was not necessary.

    We have two favorite places in Defiance, Ohio to eat and this is one of them. If you are from out of town, it is worth a trip to visit and eat at Dark Horse Social Club. The staff and owners are so nice. The menu is changed several times a year, so there is always something different to try.

    Lovely experience! Food has improved. Great atmosphere. Service excellent! Haley was wonderful to us. My only complaint… very minimal… was chocolate cake was a little dry. Other than that…. Everything was delicious. Definitely will be back
