Restaurants near Chicago Place

The food at RL Restaurant was absolutely amazing—every dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was also beautiful, creating a lovely atmosphere for dining. However, I think it would benefit more if it were just reservations-only. It’s a small space, and it was overly crowded and quite loud, which took away from the otherwise great experience. With fewer walk-ins, it could be even more enjoyable for guests.

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner with excellent service. We had shrimp cocktail and stone crabs that were delicious. We had Nantucket bay scallops, branzino, crab legs and filet with a nice bottle of wine and cocktails. Everything was delicious. Thanks. Can’t wait to return.

Everything about our experience was wonderful! Excellent and very personable waiter and staff, delicious food and cocktails. The Mag Mile Martini was amazing, the smoked carrots so yummy, and the BBQ pork chop hefty and perfectly cooked. The timing of drinks, starters, and entrees was unhurried but not slow. We will definitely be going back, and with friends.

Tzuco has become our go-to place for a splurge dinner out when visiting Chicago. The menu is grounded in tradition, but inventive - that’s especially true of the (substantial) starters. I’m still thinking about the mussels a day later. And the pulpo. And, well, everything. Oh, and definitely order the pibil cocktail! Service is warm, helpful and professional. They really, really want you to enjoy your meal.

My husband and I have moved to the Asheville, NC area and only come back to the Chicago area once a year to see family. We have been missing Quartino, especially because they can accommodate my lactose intolerance. This year, we decided that we had to go to downtown Chicago just so we could go the Quartino and Eataly. It was even worth the horrible traffic getting downtown!
