Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. We're also more than happy to accommodate business dinners or other special occasions in private rooms.

Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread.     The Wine House is a really good place for date night, out with good friends, or pretty much any occasion. The food is good quality and well prepared, and there are enough choices everyone can find something they like. My favorite is Steak Frites as a main course. The Wine list, as you would expect, is good and servers are happy to offer good advice about the choices. Don't know if they have a time limit for tables, but on a Thursday night 6 pm reservations, with most tables full, we were not rushed out, as is sometimes the case in US.

    The food and service were excellent,but the noise level was very loud as a result of one group. The waiter said that the noise level is generally not that loud. For this reason I mark the atmosphere down.

    Real nice experience. The steak salad w/ shrimp added was fantastic. The half of chicken looked good, was ordered by my partner. The manager and server was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back.
