Wine was good but the selection seems to have been paired down from previous visit to focus on higher end bottles.More infoHawksmoor EdinburghPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Edinburgh•4.5
- LLindaLondon •15 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFabulous food and terrific service. Every course was delicious from starters through to desert. The garlic prawns were outstanding and the streaks and fish mains cooked to perfection. The level of service matched the food. First visit to the Edinburgh branch of The Spanish Butcher but won’t be the last.More infoThe Spanish Butcher - EdinburghPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• New Town•4.6

- MMargaretNewcastle and Northumberland •4 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoWe have been here many times and always enjoy the whole experience. Today’s initial greeting on arrival was very friendly with my request for a glass of Prosecco being exceeded by the barmans suggestion of cremant instead. It was so delicious I had a second glass! The Christmas menu was lovely, a great choice, all beautifully cooked, well presented with super efficient service. My only criticism, as such, was the white forest meringue roulade which unfortunately had on overbearing taste of the berries, so much so that I couldn’t taste the white chocolate sauce or pistachio crumb dressing. For a dessert lover like me this was a bit of a disappointment but otherwise it was a great meal.More infoAllanton InnPrice: Expensive• Scottish• Duns•4.9
